We have undertaken the task to develop a comprehensive Knowledge Management System tailored to the unique requirements of the
honey industry.
Our ambitious project aims to provide a centralized repository housing an array of policy and regulation documents intricately
tied to the honey bee sector. With a user-friendly interface at its core, our system is designed to simplify the process of
searching for and accessing pertinent documents and rules, all based on your specific queries. Furthermore, we're innovating by
converting the intricate details encapsulated in the English language documents into machine-readable rules. This transformation
empowers a wide range of users, from dedicated beekeepers and vigilant biosecurity authorities to influential industry bodies and
other stakeholders invested in biosecurity compliance.
At the heart of this project lies the development of an encompassing system framework, coupled with an intuitive interface
crafted for the convenience of beekeepers. Our project envisions a horizon where similar interfaces cater to various user
categories, expanding the benefits to even more corners of the industry. While we'll provide a snapshot of the Australian Honey
Bee Industry Biosecurity Code of Practice, the actual code and rules may evolve through industry consultations. In addition, our
interface/application could serve as valuable input for an upcoming biosecurity compliance application, underlining our commitment
to fostering a secure and thriving honey bee ecosystem.
